Five years ago, I knew a girl who was going through a transitional period in her life. She had made some choices that were not authentic to her, was having difficulty reconciling those choices, and was purchasing a lot of things she didn’t need to fill a void she couldn’t quite identify.
This ‘all you can eat buffet’ mentality was short-sighted. Her closet was bloated and she felt unsatisfied. Her style was diluted. She felt uninspired and overwhelmed. It was her situation that sparked the streamlining stylist in me and inspired me to start my Ali Call Consulting. That girl was me.
Fast forward to 2015, I have a business that I love, a purpose that is clear, and a closet that is perfectly healthy. That unidentifiable void was filled with each decision that I made to empower myself. I am now much more mindful of my choices in family, friendships and fashion and, as such, I am more fulfilled. Helping others understand that their purchasing patterns reflect their emotional well-being, leading them in a healthier direction and ultimately boosting confidence is incredibly satisfying. Getting to play with clothing all day…well, that is just the icing on the cake.
