Spring Cleaning – Lifestyle Edition

April 6th, 2018 admin

Dear Spring – I am beyond grateful for all of the motivation you bring!

After a long, hard winter I am ready to clean up my act. Building a home while being a mom and managing a business has been all consuming, and running from interior design and fashion showrooms to clients to the depot of all things home has not lent itself to clean living. I have been in the drive-thru line more times in six months than my entire preexisting 37 years. My energy is low, my nutrition non-existent, and my skin horribly dull. I feel like a shell (albeit, a chubbier shell) of my former self so I am setting the intention this month to get back to basics. Cue the Spring Lifestyle Overhaul.

I am still all-consumed with mom-ing, styling and decorating, so I decided to tap into the expertise of some really talented women for a holistic approach to self care. After all, it does take a village!

My first stop: The Skin Farmacy for an all-natural, Blueberry Enzyme facial. Building a modern farmhouse in New England has sparked a perspective shift, and I am gravitating toward plant-based and organic skincare. The products at the Skin Farmacy are derived from nature and cruelty-free, so this was the perfect place for a skin refresh. To combat my dull, dry winter skin, owner Lisa Grande suggested a gentle exfoliating treatment followed by a moisturizing honey mask and 45 minutes later my skin was soft and supple. Found: Outer Glow.

Next stop: a nutritional reboot with plant-based health coach Kelly Davis @babysquash for some inner glow. I’ll be ready to take on Spring’s warmer temps (and all of its fashion) in no time!
