Alas, NYFW has come and gone. The wrap up always seems bittersweet to me – similar to the day after Christmas – but the great news is now we know what is happening for Fall and can shop accordingly.
One of the trends on the runway was mixing levels of color – I love that designers are taking this approach to styling because it looks streamlined and puts the focus on the texture of the clothing. Thus, I decided to throw an outfit together to illustrate how to use the “shades of” approach for Spring. I love mixing ivory with white and beige because it makes a statement that is chic and easy on the eye. If you practice this approach now you will be a seasoned veteran when Fall product hits. Enjoy!
