Don't hate. Curate.

In my twenties, I was never super thoughtful of what I purchased. I bought multiple colors in everything and thought that more was better. This unedited purchasing impulse reflected a lack of confidence: I wasn’t sure of the girl I wanted to be so I wasn’t sure how dress her.

Now, having reached my (mid)thirties, I know who I am and what I want. This confidence reveals itself in my shopping habits. I am far more adept at navigating trends, editing my purchases and curating a wardrobe that speaks to the life I live (and love). My purchasing is deliberate and controlled. It feels peaceful.

I am keeping this in mind as I write myself a very specific buy plan for Spring. The goal: to spend only as much as I make consigning items that no longer suit me. I’d say I will let you know how it goes, but I am confident I will be able to work in this parameter. I will just need to sell A LOT of items on consignment. Spring ’15 fashion is incredible…
