I have a friend who contacts me every day to ask whether her internet shopping obsession du jour is a must have. Not surprisingly, given the promotional nature of the holiday shopping season, there was a noticeable uptick in requests last week. I am happy to report that she made it through Black Friday unscathed. At one point it was touch and go.
While discounts can be tempting, a great deal is only great when it fills a particular need and has more than one end use. Creativity and versatility will drive down cost per wear but it is your duty to be selective. Love the item enough to launch it into your signature stratosphere or leave it. Especially when it comes to holiday attire, you will be best served by a purchase whose CPW is less than one holiday cocktail.
