Avoid Online Shopping Blunders

October 7th, 2013 admin

I recently placed an online order for a friend of mine who doesn’t have great luck when choosing things on her own. When the package arrived she was really happy with everything but slightly bewildered because she typically has such bad experiences with online purchasing.

While I will admit to having a knack for picking really cute $hit, every once in a while I will order something that totally misses the mark. This usually happens when I am in a rush and not paying enough attention to what I am ordering. If you have a tendency to shop online and feel underwhelmed when your package arrives, there are a few things you can do to avoid unnecessary mistakes.

First, read the user reviews, specifically those focusing on fabric quality, picture accuracy and fit. You are far more likely to find what you want when you take this feedback into consideration. Then, when you settle on a particular item of interest, google the brand and style name and cross reference images from different websites. You will have a much better idea of what the item has to offer (especially in terms of color and fit) when you see it photographed and styled differently.

A little bit of extra research before you buy you will go a long way and you will ultimately save yourself time, energy and a bit of grief. Now, if only there was an online dating website that posted user reviews…
